Tomb of Sir Thomas Lovell and Dame Alice

This tomb is of Sir Thomas Lovell and Dame Alice, his wife.

Enscribed: "Here lyeth buried Sir Thomas Lovell, Knighte, sonne and heir of Sir Thomas Lovell Knight and Dame Alice his wife, daughter of Sir John Hvddileton Knighte. He died the 12th daye of December 1604 in the yeare of his age 64. And she died first dave of September 1602 in the year of her age 64. They had yssue of 5 sonnes and 3 Davghters: whereof 2 sonnes and 1 Davghter died in their infancie. 3 sonnes viz: Sir Francis Lovell, Knighte, Charles Lovell and William Lovell Esquires overlived them and two davghters were married in their lyfetime viz Katherine first to Sir Thomas Knvvet of Buchenham Castell, Knight, secondly to Edward Springe and thirdly to Edwarde Downes Esquires and Elinor to Edwarde Waldegrave sonne and heire apparant to Charles Waldegrave of Stamminghall, Esquire."
